Coaching
I am an experienced manager, trainer, educator and coach.
I began my career working as a PA in an international
publishing company in Athens. On my return to England I
joined the sales promotion industry as a purchasing
manager. I was a key member of the senior management team
that grew a small business to a £4 million turnover.
I also have 10 years experience as a management trainer
and educator gained as a university lecturer in
organisational behaviour and marketing teaching up to
postgraduate level and on professional courses. I have
also worked within HR Consultancy and have developed
management training programmes for blue chip companies in
the car manufacturing, food production, air travel and
retail industries.
As an educator and trainer my particular expertise and
skill lies in developing and coaching individuals with a
focus on achieving specific goals to maximise the
individual’s effectiveness and contribution to the
organisation. These goals focus on achievements and the
changes the individual can target, both for him/herself
and for the organisation. I bring to the coaching
relationship my knowledge, experience and expertise in:
business management; interpersonal communication;
organisational behaviour; adult learning; and applied
psychological models including transactional analysis and
NLP principles.
I am skilled at creating a safe environment in which the
individual can feel comfortable taking the risks
necessary to learn and develop. I employ a range of
learning tools and activities, including, but not limited
to, purposeful conversation, attentive and emphatic
listening, rehearsal and role-plays, supportive
confrontation and enquiry, suggested reading and task
setting.
I have an MBA and qualifications in counselling,
marketing, training and facilitating change in
individuals. I am currently in advanced clinical
psychotherapy (MSc) training at the Metanoia Institute in
West London.
